Both UNO´s front and rear derailleurs put shifting technology where it makes the most sense: in the derailleur, where the shifting action happens. When commanded to shift, fluid actuates shifting using a ratchet-and-pinion system to shift the derailleur up or down. Two trim settings: one each for the larger and smaller chainrings guarantee an accurate gear change without friction, interference or tolerance buildup since shifting actuation is done with hydraulic fluid instead of cables or electronic signal.
