It is undeniable that racing is found within the DNA of every Wilier. All bikes bearing the halberd logo must perform flawlessly, built upon the same material and technology innovations, as well as characteristics of steerability and lightweight. That applies as much to Wilier off-road models as it does to our road racing machines, including our new 29er, the 101XN. This new trail speed machine boasts many of the same features that make the Cento1 SR our latest road superbike.
ASYMMETRIC REAR STAYS
The most visible similarity between the 101XN and Cento1 SR is our signature asymmetric rear triangle. The drive-side chainstay is lowered to counteract drivetrain torque. This has the added benefit of reducing chain-slap, an especially nice feature in a performance mountain bike. The non drive-side chainstay is designed to work in complementary fashion with the drive-side, as well as for the integrated disc brake mount.
INTERCHANGEABLE REAR DERAILLEUR HANGER
The most popular rear skewer for MTB is still the traditional type. Nevertheless, 101XN is equipped with a clever system of interchangeable dropouts to accommodate different skewer and rear derailleur dropout standards, including Thru Axle and Direct Mount.
Like the Cento1 SR, our 101XN boasts internal shifter cable routing enhanced in form and function by our integrated cable stops, designed to route cables at an ideal orientation inside the down tube, and bottom bracket cable guides. These features ensure that cables will not come in contact with the inside walls of frame tubes, which could cause annoying sounds, especially when traversing rough terrain. This features also prepares the 101XN for use with future electronic off-road groupsets.

As with our top road models, the Zero.7 and new Cento1 SR, the 101XN benefits from our oversize bottom bracket design. This provides superior lateral stiffness, also due to our ability to implement wider positioned and larger dimension chainstays.
ROUNDED SEAT TUBE
We have also designed structural solutions to augment tire clearance from the frame, ensuring sufficient clearance at all times, even in extremely muddy conditions.
